Task Guidelines
A comprehensive framework for creating, describing, and executing tasks efficiently within our system.
Task Creation Standards
Establish these key elements when creating tasks in our system:
Single Assignee
Each task must have exactly one person responsible for its completion.
Start Date
When work on the task should begin.
Due Date
When the deliverable must be completed.
Time Estimate
Projected hours/minutes needed for completion.
Task Completion Protocol
This protocol ensures clear communication about task status and proper verification of all work.
Team Member Review
Team members should use the "Review" status and mention their manager in the task comment section when they finish a task. Managers will then verify the work meets requirements before marking it "complete."
Manager Authorization Required
Only designated managers can mark tasks as "Complete" to maintain accountability in the system.
Effective Task Execution Process
Review the Objective
Understand exactly what needs to be delivered.
Examine Delivery Requirements
Note the specific format and location for your final output.
Address Prerequisites
Review all questions and required information in sequential order.
Execute Methodically
Complete each step logically to reach the final deliverable.
Benefits of Systematic Task Management
Minimized Communication
Reduces unnecessary back-and-forth communication.
Efficient Completion
Ensures tasks are finished on schedule and within parameters.
Versatile Application
Works seamlessly for both small tasks and major milestones.
This systematic approach minimizes back-and-forth communication and ensures efficient task completion, whether you're working on small discrete tasks or major milestone deliverables.
